Unsteady Rise Evolution Candle

Unsteady Rise is currently on view at the Bailey Contemporary Arts Center in Pompano Beach, Florida as part of the Teal Appeal exhibition presented by ArtsUnited. Created as a reflection on living with myasthenia gravis, the piece uses teal tones to acknowledge both the condition itself and the ongoing strength required to navigate it.

The sculpture rises upward with uneven, shifting movement, symbolizing the unpredictability of physical strength, balance, and endurance. Sharp forms stretch outward while softer layers gather beneath them, creating a sense of vulnerability alongside resilience.
